Canon EF 85mm f1.2L II USM
The Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM Autofocus Lens is a fast lens that delivers superb optical performance. A maximum aperture of f/1.2 makes it the professional’s choice for shooting without flash in low light conditions. The large aperture also provides fine control over depth of field for compelling portrait photography.

Retaining the impressive optical performance and large aperture of its predecessor, this medium telephoto lens has been improved with a Ring-type USM, high-speed CPU and optimized algorithms to achieve an autofocus speed approximately 1.8x faster than the original. The high-speed AF and circular aperture create a shallow depth-of-field that brings attention to the subject and blurs the background, which is ideal for portraits and weddings.

L-Series
The L-series is Canon’s flagship professional lens range, combining outstanding image performance and ultimate operability with dust and moisture resistant construction.

Large f/1.2 Aperture
The large maximum aperture of f/1.2 provides outstanding speed for shooting in low light conditions, without the need for flash.

The incredibly powerful AF-S NIKKOR 200-400mm f/4G ED VR II Lens from Nikon is a super telephoto zoom that delivers images with superior image quality. The lens features the innovative Vibration Reduction (VRII) system that allows handheld telephoto zoom shooting even in poorly lit conditions. The VRII system minimizes image blur caused by camera shake, and offers the equivalent of shooting at a shutter speed approximately four shutter speeds slower than would otherwise be possible. The lens is built with Nikon’s Silent Wave Motor (SWM) which provides swift autofocusing with superior accuracy and ultra-quiet operation. And the lens can be switched quickly from AF to manual focus.

Voigtlander Nokton 58mm/f1.4 SL-II

The Nokton 58mm/f1.4 SL-II is the revised version of Cosina’s 2003 limited edition 58/1.4 Topcor. The initial release of 1600 pieces were quickly snapped up and now it’s highly sort after collector’s piece.

The new SL-II lens has built in CPU matrix metering chip which enable all Nikon Digital SLR cameras to meter with the Nikon mount version of this lens.

The 58mm focal length becomes 85mm on the cropped sensors, which makes the Nokton a perfect portrait lens on the digital body. With the full frame sensor digital bodies, the 58mm is a good general purpose versatile focal length.

With it’s superb image quality, it surpasses lenses priced 2 to 3 times itself. A truely value for money fast lens.

Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f/1.4 SL II – Review by photozone.de

The Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f/1.4 II is an interesting new offer in the standard lens arena. The slightly longer than average focal length is especially attractive for APS-C DSLR users – a field-of-view “equivalent” to “85mm” is pretty much in the sweet spot of portrait photography. Technically the lens is somewhat soft at f/1.4 both in terms of border resolution as well as overall contrast. At f/2 and more so at f/2.8 the quality has improved significantly and the quality of the bokeh is also best around these settings. The sheer resolution potential in unleashed at medium aperture settings where the lens is about as good as it gets today.

It combines sharp close-up performance and excellent mechanics.
A relative bargain (at least for Pros and serious amateurs), this very well-made lens combines sharp closeup performance and excellent mechanics.

Taking picture of small animals and insects can be difficult, because they often run or fly away, or can be dangerous or become aggressive if you approach them. Therefore it is advantageous to have a greater working distance between the camera and such subjects. Longer focal length lens can provide this greater distance, but most long lens do not focus close enough to provide a large image of small subjects. The tele-macro type lens solves this problem by producing a large, high quality image, up to life-size, while maintaining a long working distance. This can enable you to capture on film the world of photomicrography, without disturbing the subjects. The 180mm F3.5 APO MACRO lens has a very narrow field of view, and can allow very narrow depth-of-field for selective focus and less distracting backgrounds. This lens is most desirable for photographers who are serious about producing high quality images both of macro subjects at life-size reproduction, as well as normal telephotography.
