Sprint review – Oct 2010 to April 2011
Explore Lenses! Recommend lens that I want!
It’s yet another reason for us to celebrate as we hit another milestone in making myLensDB a comprehensive one-stop center for those in the hunt for new camera gears. This time around, we bring you Explore Lenses!
Develop “what can i get” interactive recommendation feature whereby one can find lens that suits their need with possible selections like budget, type of lens, focal length needed and so on. – ToDoAlive
This is one of the most sought after requests from our fellow visitors therefore we decided to put in the extra miles in bringing this feature up as early as possible.
The screenshot below would basically explains on what things are all about!
We would like to label this release as Alpha version as for now. There is still a couple of things that we can fine tune and add in as we go on.
Hope you like it! Hit us hard and we will improve from there!
Be our price ranger – Share price on myLensDB
At last, we made it, today. Well, we have been talking about this 8 months ago. Time really flies.
It’s about putting up a page in each individual camera gear page for our dear visitors to share out the pricing they found on the street. The following screenshot should just be self-explanatory on how things work.
On behalf of all the folks that visit myLensDB for their “daily dose of poison“, hunting on their next camera gear, thank you for your contribution all this while (particularly shuttle mug, thanks man!)
Have a great weekend!
Photo Analytics will be made available in Explore!
Introduced in camera equipment’s individual page 3 months ago (See announcement), we have been working from time to time in trying to refine the algorithm behind the scene in improving the accuracy of the analysis.
Coming up next, we will be putting it in Explore! as well, not just in specific camera equipment pages. We will not be longer bounded by a specific body/lens/flash when performing search and being able to refine the search criteria freely!
Ajax powered search is back online!
After more than 3 weeks being taken off the service, we are very excited to welcome to return of the Ajax powered search mechanism. Things are made possible with the migration to the new server.
Life would be back to normal and searching for a lens would be fun again!

Try it yourself. Search for something now!
