It is your surfing experience and satisfaction that count! It is your satisfaction that drives this project to greater height.
In our current development sprint, we put a lot of focus on user experience rather than continuing developing more and more features that may eventually jeopardize the entire system. It is the quality that we seek within each and every feature that we develop.
Bridging the original (old) MyLensDB and the new MyLensDB.
There are still some loyal (hardcore) fans that are still using the original MyLensDB site and we surely would not simply discard them off. Some users may be seeking it for its simplicity or maybe just want to check on the prices only sometimes rather than viewing in full fledged new MyLensDB.
In our post here, we have enhanced the original MyLensDB in term of linkage to the new project site.
User can now jump directly to the equivalent page in the new project site rather than being thrown into a search result previously.
Linking the links together
We spent some time also studying reports on the surfing pattern and behaviour of our visitors here realizing some missing linkages here and there.
There are things that are not too clear cut and some time we even failed in delivering the message of who we are and what roles we are playing here. For instance, there are visitors that ask us for best price as if like we are selling products here. (Read About Us to find out who we really are!)
This is just one of many examples that we got so now, we are trying to portray the correct image before we can really move on to the next phase.
Closing words
It is these little things that make things stand out and we appreciate your patience and visit all these while!
Hi MyLensdb,
Your website is definitely one of the best databases that I’ve been using lately.
I notice both camera body and lenses are available.
But what about the next most important equipment….a flash gun (speedlight) ?
I think that too will good items to track…. J
Thanks.
Greg
Thanks folks.
