This piece of news has been spreading like wild fire over the past 2 days and it is official although the official announcement date by Canon Malaysia is on the 1st May. The price drops have been imposed in Hong Kong and Indonesia already from what we can observe in the Internet forums but Malaysians would need to wait a week more for the official announcement though.
Here’s the (unofficial) estimated pricing that we can expect when the announcement is made then (on the street pricing):-
Canon EOS 7D Body Only = RM5180 (Previously, RM 5400)
Canon EOS 7D Kit (18-135mm) = RM6075
Canon EOS 7D Kit (15-85mm) = RM6900
Canon 5D MK II Body Only = RM 6950 (Previously, RM 8400)
Canon 5d MK II Kit (24-105mm) = RM 10200
No pricing yet available for Canon 50D but we will keep an eye on it! If you have any updates on this do chip in ya.
