Sony SAL-16105 16-105mm f/3.5-5.6 DT Malaysia Price Tracker
Bring your subjects closer. Shoot beautiful scenery, action-packed sporting events and detailed close-ups with this wide-angle telephoto lens.
Get into the action. Designed to take advantage of APS-size CCD imagers like the Exmor™ sensor of the Sony® α DSLR-A700 camera, this amazingly compact premium zoom lens provides superior all-around performance. Its 35mm-equivalent range of 24mm wide-angle to 157.5mm telephoto is perfect for capturing faraway subjects, sports events, dramatic landscapes and intimate close-ups.
Internal Focusing System
Internal lens elements move, so the overall length does not change — creating a lens that focuses more quickly and doesn’t alter its balance.
Circular Aperture
Because aperture blades form a near circle at the wide openings used for low-light shots, spot-light sources have a pleasing circular defocused effect.
ED (Extra-low Dispersion) Glass
ED Glass lens elements minimize flare and greatly reduce chromatic aberration, giving you sharp, clear shots even at full telephoto extension.
Sophisticated Multi-Element Design
16 lens elements in 13 groups correct visual aberrations across the entire zoom range and help reduce weight.
Advisory when using DT lenses with full-frame (35mm equivalent) DSLR cameras.
Sony α (alpha) lenses with the Digital Technology (DT) designation are ideal for use on APS-C size DSLR cameras and are not recommended for use with full frame DSLR camera bodies. Although DT lenses can be used with full frame cameras, they can only realize a maximum of 11MP image size (when using the DSLR-A850 and DSLR-A900), and are not guaranteed to provide accurate Auto Exposure performance.

Unsurprisingly the Sony 16-105mm f/3.5-5.6 DT is a lens of compromises – the lens offers a highly attractive 6.5x zoom ratio but this sets natural limits performance-wise.
